When updating from OMS 1.2, you need to make your old studio setup document “current.” Open it in OMS Setup and choose Save and Make Current.
Still No MIDI Input or Output
In some instances it may also be necessary to choose Studio>MIDI Cards and Interfaces, and resave.
STUDIO 4 AND 5 USERS
Studio 5 Errors
If, after updating to OMS 2.3 from OMS 1.2, you have trouble with your Studio 5 (error messages on the Mac or the Studio 5's front panel), reset your Studio 5 by holding down the increment and decrement patch buttons simultaneously while turning it on. You should see “--” on the LED display. Then release the buttons.
Studio Patches Editor
In pre-2.0 versions, OMS used an application called OMS Setup+Patches to create and edit OMS patch documents, now called “Studio Patches.” Since OMS 2.0, this application has been split in two. OMS Setup does what it always did. The new Studio Patches Editor application is used to create and edit studio patch documents.
Finding Lost Patch Documents
If you have a current Studio Patches document and make certain changes in your Studio Setup, you may see the message:
“Your OMS studio setup changed in such a way that the current Studio Patches document must be re-installed. This will happen automatically when you next open the current patch document.”
Open the Studio Patches Editor and resave your patch document.
OMS/S5 pgm chg Driver
If you own a Studio 5, you will see a device called “OMS/S5 pgm chg” in your Studio Setup. After installing OMS 2.3, it is necessary to open the new OMS Setup application, then load and resave any old Studio Setup documents that contain the “OMS/S5 pgm chg” device. Note that under OMS 2.3, the device is called “Studio Patches pgm chg.”
